Check out these four extreme truck transformations! From a 1993 Land Rover Discovery turning into a 1956 International Harvester to a 1936 Chevy sedan becoming a beastly pickup, these before-and-after shots are so wild you can hardly recognize them.

According to CarJam, this unique vehicle is a 1993 Land Rover Discovery V8i 5-door. Underneath the 1956 International Harvester Pickup Truck bodywork lies the chassis of a Land Rover Discovery. The story behind this creation is that the original Land Rover Discovery was rusting away, so the owner decided to combine two vehicles into one. It seems they have welded a Fargo cab onto the front of an International, as evidenced by the identical windscreen.

This vehicle began its life as a 1936 Chevrolet sedan, later transformed into a dually pickup truck. Under the hood, you'll find a powerful 24-valve diesel Cummins engine equipped with twin turbos. This setup delivers an impressive 750 horsepower and 1,500 ft/lbs of torque, making it a truly formidable machine on the road.

This is a faithful recreation of the famous Backup Pickup wheelstander, originally built by Dick Harding and driven by both Harding and George Tuers. The body of the Econoline truck is mounted backwards on the chassis, turning the back into the front and vice versa. It was a spectacular sight to see the truck speeding down the strip backwards, with the driver struggling to see over or around the bed. When the front end lifts, forward visibility is almost non-existent, often forcing the driver to stick their head out the window to navigate.

The engine is a powerful 427 cubic inch Ford, and the paint job is stunning, reflecting the free-spirited and whimsical attitudes of the era. From intricate lace and panel painting to detailed pin striping, this truck is a masterpiece. It is proudly displayed at Galpin Auto Sports.
